Stephanie is a native-born Texan, but grew up as an international nomad before returning to the best state and county in the U.S. to practice law.
She graduated magna cum laude from Drew University in New Jersey with a B.A. in Political Science and subsequently worked as patent litigation support at Jones Day in Dallas. While studying at Texas Wesleyan School of Law in Fort Worth, Stephanie was a Team Leader for the Texas Wesleyan Innocence Project, advocated for family law clients of the Texas Wesleyan Law Clinic, interned for criminal defense attorney Bradley Clark, and became a qualified mediator through the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association. She received her Juris Doctorate and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2013.
In 2014, Stephanie joined Orange Energy as a project manager of a massive oil and gas leasing operation, then practiced as an associate attorney at Orange’s sister law firm, Beckmen Law, P.C., in family law, contract and DTPA disputes, criminal defense, and complex commercial litigation. In 2016, she focused on criminal defense practice alongside Mike Goolsby at the Goolsby Law Firm. She relocated to Brewster County in 2017, where she became an assistant district attorney for the 83rd Judicial District before opening her own practice.
