She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester and her law degree from the University of Houston. She is also qualified as a family law mediator. When she first moved to Parker County, she served as an assistant county attorney for five years. Mrs. Akers now concentrates her practice in the area of family law and family law mediation. She has represented clients in hundreds of cases involving contested and uncontested divorces, property division, contempt, protective orders, child support, child visitation, child custody, adoption, paternity, grandparent rights and name changes.
